The 2011 Alt Park Race Series was launch May 25, 2011 with great weather and competitive racers.  Queen City Wheels is the non profit organization that holds and manages the event.  Unfortunately, there was accident at the event where a racer was taken to University Hospital for treatment.  The details of this racers injuries and his or her identity is unknown at this time.  Other than that incident, the race went quite well.

It was the grand ceremony for Cock & Bull and indeed it happened. Cock & Bull English Pub at Erie Avenue and Edwards Road made it all happen on May 23, 2011.  The general manager and partner Scott Rosenburrough was there to celebrate the grand opening.

On a day of national law enforcement importance on August 2, 2011 at 10:30am, James E. Craig, accompanied by his wife Mary was sworn in as the 13th Police Chief for the City of Cincinnati by City Manager Milton Dohoney, Jr. at Cincinnati State University. The crowd at Cincinnati State gave a sounding applause at the end of the Chief Craig's swearing in. The historic ceremony took place in a conference room at the Main Building of of Cincinnati State University.

On a very hot day on August 2, 2011 the Cincinnati Police Department District Two held its National Night Out for year 2011 at Owls Nest Park on Madison Road. The celebration hosted live entertainment, recreational activities, free hamburgers and hot dogs as well as soft drinks. The Cincinnati Police Swat (Special Weapons and Tactics) Team displayed their Lenco Bear tactical vehicle commanded by Police Sergeant Meyer for children and parents to tour and enjoy. Patrol Officers were dressed in blue while apparently display officers were dressed in white shirt and tie.
